Kenya has approximately 13 percent (1,377,784) of the 39 million global population living with HIV, making it the 7th largest epidemic in Africa. The country has, however, consistently played a pivotal role in advancing progress in the management and control of HIV through implementation of a comprehensive, multi-sectoral response. Despite these positive trends, the decline in the new HIV infections among children, adolescents, and young people is not sufficient to ends AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. Leveraging Kenya’s vibrant traditional media, the NSDCC aims to employ innovative and tailored strategies to provide public education for HIV through town hall meetings.
